Insurances we participate in
The insurances Kat MacKenzie participates in are as follows. However, this does not guarantee that your plan will cover acupuncture. Please have us check your benefits ahead of your appointment time. I do not accept Medicare or Medicaid. Some Medicare Advantage plans provide coverage for my services, but coverage varies.

- We do not accept no fault or workers comp
- We do NOT accept Fidelis, Humana, Cigna, BCBS or Highmark. We are happy to provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance in case you have out of network benefits.
- All other patients are out of pocket at our cash rate of $100 for the first visit and $80 for follow ups.
- Acupuncture and Medicare: Medicare has recently started to cover acupuncture for the treatment of chronic low back pain in seniors. Some Medicare Advantage plans take this coverage into account. However, Licensed Acupuncturists are not yet included as official Medicare providers. There is an act before Congress to fix this situation, so please call your local Congressional Representative and ask them to support HR:3133, the Acupuncture for Our Seniors Act of 2024-25.
How to check your insurance benefits
When you fill out your initial intake health history forms, you can put your insurance info into a field for us to check. If you don’t have us check your benefits before your appointment, please make sure to bring your insurance card to your first appointment.
Acupuncture:
- Initial Intake with Treatment: $100
- Follow Up Session: $80
Pediatric (age 6-17) acupuncture:
- Initial Intake: $75
- Follow up Session: $50
